Fear Station at Traces Group show
Biodegradable paper made from plant fibres and flowers from the Tower Hamlets Cemetery was prepared as offerings for the releasing of fears.
A socially engaged installation exploring worries and fear. Through a simple set of instructions, cemetery visiters were given the opportunity to sit alone in a private space, and reflect on a fear that they could release. Once the fear was formulated, it was written on a piece of bio degradable paper to release into nature. The elements (and the rain), washed the fears away as the paper disintegrated.
