This experimental essay film is an exploration of Identity as a construct using the 6/8 beat that both traditional Iranian music and Maloya (traditional music of la Reunion) share. Journeying through the Island with traditional Iranian musician Arash Khalatbari and the top musicians of the island we visit the historical sights and customs of the island that have poignant significance for the artists that make up the Island’s multicultural Creole Identity.
